About Fire Up Halal Grill
From the Streets of New York to the Heart of Tampa
What started as a humble food cart on 7th Avenue in Manhattan has grown into two thriving restaurants in Florida. Founder Mustafa Alzazok first made a name for himself serving authentic New York–style halal street food to hungry crowds in the city that never sleeps. Inspired by that success, he and his wife brought the same bold flavors, sizzling grills, and love for fresh cooking all the way to Tampa.
At Fire Up Halal Grill, we stay true to our roots: New York–style halal street food made to order, hot off the grill. Every dish—whether it’s chicken shawarma, juicy kebabs, or crispy falafel—is crafted with care using family recipes and spices that keep our guests coming back. Nothing sits pre-made. Everything is prepared in-house, fresh and full of flavor.
This restaurant isn’t just a business—it’s our family’s way of sharing what we love. Mustafa runs the grills, while his wife ensures every detail is ready before the doors open each day. Together, they’ve built a place where passion for food meets hospitality, creating a warm and welcoming space for the community.

Gyro platter and falafel were amazing. Portions were extremely large. Fed two people with extra sides each and desert for less than fifty dollars with drinks plus we have two pounds of leftovers. I can't stress enough how good this place is and the service is friendly and fast and the food was all made fresh. Worth the stop.Posted on Dennis BTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
